Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to celebrate the unsung heroes of the recently concluded G20 Summit in New Delhi. Today, at the majestic Bharat Mandapam, the Prime Minister will host an interactive session with what can only be described as 'Team G20' - the dedicated individuals who toiled tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth and seamless execution of the summit.
This unique gathering, which is expected to draw approximately 3,000 participants, will encompass a diverse spectrum of individuals. Among them are the oft-overlooked champions of the event, including cleaners, drivers, waiters, and support staff from various Ministries. Their unyielding commitment was crucial in ensuring that every facet of the G20 Summit unfolded without a hitch, PTI reported.
A glance at the guest list reveals that around 700 staff members hail from the Ministry of External Affairs, with an additional 300 representatives from Delhi Police, SPG, Rajghat, CISF, IAF, and other departments. Their collective dedication and hard work merit the spotlight they will receive during this event.
The day's agenda includes a memorable group photo to commemorate the occasion. Special Commissioners of Police and other senior Delhi Police officials will be in attendance, underscoring the significance of this celebration.
Notably, the interactive session will also welcome ministers and officials from various government departments, further emphasizing the inclusive spirit of this event.
Following the interactive session, a sumptuous dinner will be hosted in honor of these unsung heroes. Prime Minister Modi himself will address the gathering, expressing his gratitude for their invaluable contributions.
The G20 Summit, hosted under India's capable presidency, brought together over 40 heads of state and delegates from across the globe. The event, which transformed Delhi into a beacon of diplomacy, unfolded at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan. India took up the mantle of G20 presidency on December 1 last year during the summit in Bali and will continue to hold this esteemed position until the end of November.
