According to the meteorological department, in the 24 hours till 8.30 am on Monday, 4 mm rain was recorded in Karanpur of Sriganganagar, 2.5 mm in Sriganganagar, 2 mm each in Khajuwala of Bikaner and Jhunjhunu, and 1 mm each in Dantaramgarh and Ramgarh Shekhatan in Sikar and Sriganganagar.
Radheshyam Sharma, in-charge of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, said that due to the effects of a western disturbance, an induced circulation system has formed over western Rajasthan on Monday.

Sharma said that barring Bikaner division of northwest Rajasthan, other areas are likely to see a reduction in thunderstorms and rain from Wednesday. According to the department, the maximum temperature in the state hovered between 29.4 and 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum between 15.6 and 22.9 degrees Celsius.
