In a bid to resolve the ongoing political deadlock between Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, the Supreme Court put forth a unique suggestion today. The court proposed that both parties sit down and agree upon a suitable candidate for the position of Chairperson of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), aiming to break the impasse caused by the Centre's controversial ordinance that overturned a top court's judgment granting more authority to the Delhi government over its bureaucrats, according to media reports.
