In a tweet, Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai today said his party sought the Governor's intervention over 'Part 2 of DMK files', listing out scams worth thousands of crores.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Governor RN Ravi seeking action over ‘DMK Files-II’ -- what it claimed to be documents on "benami" linked to ruling DMK ministers, legislators and Parliamentarians, and "three scams" to the tune of about Rs 5,600 crore.

Similar to BJP’s alleged “Congress Files”, Annamalai posted a 16-minute video clip, in a follow-up to 'DMK Files-I', showing the so-called "documents". The alleged scams include one in a government-run medical corporation worth Rs 600 crore, in state transport department worth Rs 2,000 crore and the biggest one in a firm called ETL Infrastructure Services Limited worth Rs 3,000 crore. The BJP claimed that these scams linked to DMK regimes together constituted "a value of Rs 5,600 crore".

"We will elaborate more on this during our padayatra to our friends in press and media. We demand answers from the corrupt DMK government," Annamalai added in the tweet.
The video comes ahead of his state-wide padayatra from July 28 to take on the DMK regime and strengthen the party's electoral prospects for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
Annamalai had released a video – titled 'DMK Files Part-I' – on April 14, alleging that "kickbacks of Rs 200 crore" had been channelled by a multinational company through two shell firms to "Chief Minister M K Stalin for DMK's 2011 election fund".
The nearly 15-minute video clip showcased what he claimed were assets of ruling party personalities and its valuation. All such allegations had been dismissed by the DMK leaders as false and unfounded and they filed defamation cases against Annamalai.
