The historic Kullu Dussehra, whose origins date back to the 17th century, hasn't lost its grandeur and religious fervour despite a general change. Over the years, it has received international recognition as a unique and vibrant cultural event apart from being a 'divine congregation' of more than 300 deities, which are brought in specially decorated palanquins, to pay obeisance to Lord Raghunath -- the presiding deity of Kullu. It is a key attraction of the festival for seven days, till the final return of Lord Raghunath amidst chants of scriptures, divine songs and traditional dance.
