A gravel-loaded truck overturned onto a parked bus in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur on Saturday night killing at least 11 individuals and injuring 10 others who were devotees travelling to Uttarakhand.
The passengers in the bus hailed from Jetha village located in the Kamlapur police station area of Sitapur district in the state.

The accident took place at Hajiyapur village under the Khutar police station area in Shahjahanpur district.
The ten pilgrims who were seriously injured have been admitted to the Government Medical College in the district.
The passengers in the bus hailed from Jetha village located in the Kamlapur police station area of Sitapur district in the state.
When the accident took place some of the passengers had got down for dinner while others waited inside the bus.
Suddenly, the dumper truck carrying gravel lost control, overturned and fell onto their bus, unloading the content on the waiting pilgrims, he said.
Reportedly the deceased passengers were identified as Sudhanshu (7), Aditya (8), Ajit (15), Rohini (20), Pramod (30), Seema (30), Suman Devi (36), Ramgopal (48), Shiv Shankar (48), Chutki (50) died on the spot, while Sonavati (45).
Ashok Kumar Meena, SP, Shahjahanpur told ANI, "Around 11 pm, we got the information that in the Khutar PS area, a bus was parked, devotees who were going to Purnagiri were sitting inside the bus and some devotees were having food at a Dhaba. A truck lost control and turned turtle on top of the bus... A total of 11 people died and 10 were injured. All injured have been admitted to hospitals...".
The local police and villagers rescued some of the passengers from inside the bus.
The SP and District Magistrate Umesh Pratap Singh also reached the spot after they were informed about the incident. The driver of the dumper fled from the spot and the police are looking for him.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and directed the district administration to ensure the injured people are provided proper treatment.
President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday grieved the loss of lives in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
"The news of the death of several people in a road accident in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, is very sad. I express my condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured," the president said in a post on X in Hindi.
