Vinesh Phogat And Bajrang Punia Accept Dare For Narco Test In Sexual Harassment Allegations

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, a prominent figure in the ongoing protest against Wrestling Federation of India chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment, has responded to Singh's dare for a narco test, polygraph test, or lie detector test. According to the reports by NDTV, Phogat, along with fellow wrestler Bajrang Punia, has accepted the challenge but demanded that all the complainants, including themselves, should undergo the tests. They further insisted that the tests be conducted live, ensuring transparency for the entire nation.

Speaking at a press conference, Vinesh Phogat expressed her willingness to undergo the narco test, stating, "Not only me, but all the girls who have filed complaints are ready for the narco test. It should be conducted live so that the entire country becomes aware of his mistreatment towards the daughters of the nation."

Bajrang Punia supported Phogat's statement, highlighting that they had initially agreed to the wrestlers taking the narco test. Punia proposed that the test be monitored by the Supreme Court and broadcast live across the country. He accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of misleading the public and clarified that all seven complainants are prepared to take the test.

Earlier, Singh had posted on Facebook, asserting that if the wrestlers were ready for the test, he would also willingly participate. The ongoing protests led by prominent wrestlers such as Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, and Sakshee Malikkh have gained momentum, with support pouring in from farmers in Haryana. A khap panchayat meeting in Meham, Haryana, passed a resolution demanding that Singh undergo a narco test and face legal consequences.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, however, has vehemently denied the allegations against him, claiming innocence and accusing the wrestlers of falsely implicating him. Following the Supreme Court's notice, two separate police cases were registered on April 29. The Delhi Police has submitted a status report to the court, revealing the formation of a Special Investigation Team to investigate the matter.
