Predicting further spells of rainfall, India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued heavy rainfall alerts for several states, including flood-hit Himachal Pradesh, till July 21 as another active phase of the southwest monsoon is expected to begin this week.
The states include flood-wrecked Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and parts of South India.

As per IMD's prediction, flood-hit Himachal Pradesh is likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall during the next three days.
Rain and floods have claimed 122 lives since the onset of the monsoon on June 24 in the state, according to the state Disaster Management Authority data.
In Uttarakhand, Dehradun and other districts received heavy rain this morning.
The IMD has issued an orange alert for the Kumaon Region, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall whle an yellow alert has been issued in the Garhwal region, including the capital Dehradun due to the expected heavy rainfall.
Besides, heavy rainfall has been predicted in East Rajasthan till July 21.
Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over Uttarakhand and East Rajasthan on July 17 and 18. Isolated thunderstorms and lightning are also very likely to continue over the region during the next three days.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall over Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra and Odisha is expected during the next five days and over Gujarat from July 19, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.
The IMD has also issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Raigad, Ratnagiri and Pune districts till July 21. A yellow alert was issued in Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Kolhapur, Satara, Aurangabad, Jalna, Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal for Tuesday.
In Delhi, the Yamuna water level touched 205.71 metres at 7 am today, still above the danger mark. Several key areas of the city were flooded when the water level touched an all-time high of 208.66 metres a few days ago. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has urged people to remain in the camps as the water level began to show a rise yesterday.
Odisha is likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall over the next five days. Similar conditions may prevail in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from July 18 and 19.
