In recent tragic incidents, two farmers from different districts in West Bengal have reportedly taken their own lives in the aftermath of unseasonal rainfall wreaking havoc on their crops. Bapi Ghosh, a 50-year-old potato farmer from Paschim Medinipur district's Chandrakona, allegedly consumed pesticide on Friday night, succumbing to the adverse effects the next day. The untimely rainfall, attributed to Cyclone Michaung, had devastatingly impacted his entire potato crop, as reported by PTI.
