Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a 'Hot Cooked Meal Scheme' on Friday, aimed at providing nutritious food to children aged three to six at Anganwadi centres across the state. Speaking at the inauguration at the Composite School in Ayodhya, Adityanath emphasized the importance of well-nourished children in building a strong India, as reported by PTI.
During his visit to the holy town, Adityanath announced the installation of Lord Ram in his temple on January 22. The initiative to provide nutritious meals, similar to mid-day meals, commenced in Ayodhya ahead of this significant event.

Adityanath highlighted the coordinated efforts of various departments in successfully eradicating encephalitis in eastern UP. He commended the progress made within four years, preventing a disease that claimed the lives of 50,000 children in 40 years.
Addressing Anganwadi workers and helpers, Adityanath acknowledged their role in nurturing the health and well-being of young children. He compared them to Yashoda Maa from Dwapara yuga, emphasizing their contribution to laying the foundation of a strong India.
While acknowledging improvements in nutrition schemes over the past seven years, Adityanath stressed the need for continuous efforts and the involvement of multiple departments, including Women and Child Development, Panchayati Raj, and Urban Development, to ensure the health of children across the state.
