Though the JD(U) refuses to give importance to Chirag, it apparently has no qualms in keeping its door open for LJP’s legislators and parliamentarians. The LJP MP for Nawada, Chandan Singh, and party’s lone MLA, Raj Kumar Singh, have had “surprise meetings” with the chief minister in the past few days. Though both leaders maintain they had met Nitish only to discuss problems in their respective constituencies, rumours are already doing the rounds that the JD(U) is plotting defections from the LJP to get even with Chirag. The BJP has been hoping against hope that tensions between the two allies will ease with time, but there seems to be no sign of any truce yet.
