Traffic cops in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, are not supposed to carry more than Rs 500 on duty now. After complaints of corruption in the traffic police, Bilaspur SP Divakar Sharma came up with the ingenious plan to prevent personnel from pocketing bribes. He had earlier implemented a similar order when he was the SP of Una, though there, the limit was Rs 200. Will this move work? We just hope the extra income won’t migrate to cops’ digital wallets.
