Magicians could learn some conjuring tricks from the Kurukshetra Development Board, which has transformed roasted chana laddoo into the prasad of the district. As Kurukshetra has many temples drawing lakhs of tourists and devotees, but no confectionery associated with it, the board decided to anoint the humble laddoos as ‘Kurukshetra prasadam’ and sell it at temples and sweet shops. “If any tourist or pilgrim asks for prasad, only chana laddoo should be given to them,” declared the board’s secretary.
