But two weeks ago, Bangalore’s Cyber Crime police station recorded a Y2K-style glitch—the software to register complaints had been programmed for four digits, a maximum of 9,999 cases a year. By end-November, the log was inching close to the limit, reports said, and the tech platform thus required some downtime to fix the problem. It’s up again, we’re told.
