- 4-5 servings of fruit and vegetables in raw form
- Fibre through whole grains, whole-wheat atta, oats, maize, jowar and pulses
- Fish or flax seeds for Omega 3 fatty acids
- Rajma, black gram, lobia, soybeans and soya products
- Avoid use of refined food (like maida), sugar and vanaspati
- Besides this, a 40-minute walk, 10 minutes of resistance exercises per day and 60 minutes of physical activity per week are also recommended
