ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian on Prime Video will feature an intriguing women’s atomweight kickboxing contest that has all the makings of an unforgettable scrap.
On August 4 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Thai prodigy Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak returns to ONE Championship action to take on accomplished Spanish striker Cristina Morales live in U.S. primetime.
Widely considered one of the most talented young fighters in the world, “Supergirl” will make her promotional kickboxing debut following her first defeat in ONE while sporting a 2-1 promotional record.
And while she may have lost her last outing, that setback came against former two-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex by way of split decision, proving that the 19-year-old sensation belongs among the best of the best.
In fact, “Supergirl’s” performance in that bout was so impressive that it earned her a US$50,000 performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
Morales, though, hopes to put an end to the Jaroonsak Muay Thai athlete’s hype train.
A former ISKA World Champion and veteran of over 50 professional fights, the 29-year-old mother of two is no stranger to elite competition.
And like her Thai opposition, Morales comes into this bout following a loss to a legendary striker. However, she has already done more than enough to show that she possesses the skill and raw physical tools to take out any atomweight striker on the planet.
A win for either “Supergirl” or Morales would do wonders for their respective careers. Despite their recent defeats, a strong performance on August 4 would propel the winner one massive step closer to a shot at the coveted ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title currently held by Janet Todd.
