Mitchell Marsh's 177 led the way as Australia warmed up nicely to their semi-final clash against Proteas with an easy 8-wicket win over Bangladesh in Pune. Put in to bat, Bangladesh were without the injured Shakib Al Hasan as Najmul Hossain Shanto led in his absence. The Tigers recorded 306 for 8 in 50 overs. In reply, the Aussies lost the wicket of Travis Head early for 10 but David Warner (53) earlier and Steve Smith (63 not out) stood firm alongside Marsh as the Aussies romped home to victory. The all-rounder hit 17 fours and nine sixes to end the match in 44.4 overs. He added 120 for the second wicket with Warner and 175 for the unbroken third wicket stand with Smith.
