Aussie openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh put up an outstanding 259-run opening stand that demoralised the Pakistani bowlers as the five-time champions posted a mammoth 367/9 in 50 overs. In reply, the Pakistan openers of Abdullah Shafique (64) and Imam-ul-Haq (70) put up a 134-run stand but it wasn't enough as Aussie bowlers struck at regular intervals to halt the Pakistan charge and eventually bowling them out for 305 in 45.3 overs.
