It was an absolute cakewalk for Sindhu against the relatively inexperienced Fathima Abdul Razzaq, whom she trumped 21-9, 21-6 in a one-sided Group M encounter. Today's match might not be as easy, though the Indian is still expected to win and seal her progress to the knock-outs.
PV Sindhu's match was scheduled at 12:50pm IST but since the previous match on court, between Korea's Kim Ga Eun and Malaysia's Goh Jin Wei, is still underway, there will be a delay. The match is into its third game and turning into a thriller.
The previous match has ended and Sindhu and the Estonian are both on court. Action getting underway in a minute.
And the Indian surges to a 4-0 lead in the first game. Good start from the world number 13, exerting pressure at the net and drawing mistakes.

A much better display in the second game so far from Kristin. She is getting her tosses and smashes right now, making Sindhu retrieve a lot more shuttles than in the previous game. Still well under control for the Indian.
Sindhu goes into the mid-game interval with a five-point lead, and is 10 points away from guaranteeing herself a spot in the round of 16.
A sizzling smash in the backhand side of Kristin's court from Sindhu leaves the Estonian with no answer. An utterly one-sided affair thus far, and the Indian would perhaps now look to test various aspects of her match-play before tougher challenges follow in the knock-outs.

Sindhu now just two points away from a place in the round of 16.
