Once again, the day belonged to Sri Lanka in the second Test against Bangladesh in Dhaka. After having an upper hand at the end of rain-marred Day 4, Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Mathews laid the foundation for Sri Lanka’s big total as the visitors posted 506 all out with a lead of 141 runs. While Chandimal was out for 124, Mathews remained unbeaten on 145. Shakib Al Hasan was the best of Bangladeshi bowlers with figures of 5/96. Ebadot Hossain took 4/148. In reply, the visitors wreaked havoc, especially Asitha Fernando, as Bangladesh lost all their top four batters to be at 34/4 in the second innings at stumps. Bangladesh are trailing by 107 runs and need some superlative efforts like the first innings to save this Test match and also the series. Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das are in the crease.
