India's Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden of Australia defeated Christopher O'Connell and Aleksandar Vukic in straight sets to go to the second round of the US Open.
The sixth-seeded team of Bopanna and Ebden easily defeated the Australian team on Wednesday, winning 6-4, 6-2 in just under an hour (55 minutes).

Bopanna (43) and Ebden (35) each made three of their five break points, denying their opponents any chance to break. The two had a 72% first serve success rate.
The Indo-Australian team, which advanced to the Wimbledon semifinals, took the lead 5-4 after game nine.
In the second set, the two took advantage of an early break to quickly advance to 5-2 before tying the match.
Bopanna, who finished second at the US Open in 2010, and Ebden will play the winner of the first-round match between Aleksandar Kovacevic of the USA and Nicolas Moreno De Alboran and Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan and Roman Safiullin of Russia.
