Canada won the toss and opted to field. Canada bowlers were right on the money from the beginning and Oman batting line-up looked totally out of sorts. Parveen Kumar and Akhil Kumar took three wickets each to stop Oman at just 82.
In the small chase, Canada did lose a few wickets but eventually a quickfire 13-ball 20 from skipper Nicholas Kirton guided them home. Canada won the match by five wickets and finished on top in the tri-series ahead of Nepal and Oman, thus winning the competition.
