IND-W Vs NZ-W, 2nd ODI: Devine, Bates, Tahuhu Level Series For New Zealand

New Zealand have defeated India by 76 runs in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, thanks to brilliant performances from Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates and Lea Tahuhu. (More Cricket News|Highlights)

New Zealand have also levelled the series 1-1, completely outplaying the hosts India. It was an all-round show by the White Ferns, with Lea Tahuhu and Devine picking up three wickets each, while Eder Carson and Jess Kerr bagging two each.

Earlier on in the day, New Zealand skipper Devine won the toss and opted to bat first on a deck that looked decent for batting. 

The openers started off on a brilliant note as Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer stitched up a brilliant 87-run stand. 

Backing up the openers, Sophie Devine put on a star performance with her exceptional 79, leading from the front despite a few hiccups.

Maddy Green also chipped in with a crucial 42. For India, Radha Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, taking four wickets and also was sensational on the field. 

The third and final ODI, which will also act as a decider, will be played on Tuesday, October 29, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
