Bangladesh have won the toss and will bowl first on a brilliant looking deck at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
India (Playing XI): Sanju Samson(w), Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Nitish Reddy, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav
Bangladesh (Playing XI): Parvez Hossain Emon, Litton Das(w), Najmul Hossain Shanto(c), Towhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah, Jaker Ali, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman
India and Bangladesh have played against each other in 15 matches and India have won 14 of them while Bangladesh have won only one match.
Sanju Samson is on the run already - just in the mood for some unfinished business. While on the other hand, Abhishek also gets into the act right away.
Well, the Sanju Samson party does not last long as he walks back for a quick shower after a quick seven-ball ten. A bit of inconsistent bounce, but the opener is early into the shot and has to make the walk back. Skipper Suryakumar joins Abhishek in the middle.
One brings two for Bangladesh, and this time it is Abhishek Sharma who makes the long walk back. The visitors are all over India at the moment. However, the hosts have plenty of batting in the tank and will be hopeful of a fightback.
What are we witnessing here? Well, one thing is for sure that this surface is not behaving like those Indian Premier League surfaces, and Bangladesh will be thrilled to be bowling first on the deck. India are three down and have notched up 45 in the first six overs.
Intent - that is one thing you will always get from Rinku, regardless of the situation. He is in the groove early and is looking to take the attack to the opposition. At the other end, Nitish Reddy looks composed and looking to consolidate.
India are counter-attacking and everything is hitting the middle of the bat. Th pacers might have an extra cushion on this surface but the spinners need to be spot on given the ground dimensions. The hosts have now reached 100 in just 10 overs. Sensational hitting, and Rishad looks clueless.
It continues to get better for India. Nitish Kumar has now raced away to 45*, while Rinku is currently batting on 32. It feels like these two are batting on a different surface to earlier on, or is it just signs that the desk is getting better to bat?
The change of pace does it and Reddy departs after reaching his maiden international fifty. A sensational knock, and just never looked back after that free hit. He’s got India back into the game and how! Delhi up on their feet for the youngster.
Hardik Pandya joins Rinku and is off in a flash. Talk about getting into the act on arrival. While on the other hand, the left-handed middle-order bat continues to punish Bangladesh as he is one shot away from another half-century.
How is Taskin Ahmed 4-0-16-2 on that deck? Bangladesh call him special, and he has just proved why. Rampant Rinku has to depart for a well made 53. With three overs to go, can India reach 230?
What an end to the first innings! How it started, and how it is going felt very similar with the wickets but the damage was already done. India are ahead in this game now, and have set Bangladesh a daunting 222-run target to chase. However, the surface looks a good one and we should have an interesting chase on the cards.
And we are back for the chase. It looks tough but does not look impossible. Parvez Hossain and Litton Das to open the batting for Bangladesh, while Arshdeep Singh has the new ball for India. Two slips to start.
Bangladesh are off to a very good start in their chase of a mammoth target. Both the openers are looking for runs and runs quick to try and put some pressure back on India. After two overs, the visitors are 20 runs with all wickets intact.
Washington Sundar strikes in his first over, and the Bangladesh captain Shanto has to make the walk back for just 11. He showed glimpses of promise with two boundaries but fails to make any major contribution. They now have lost two in the powerplay, and will not want to lose any further wickets.
Another one bites the dust, and Bangladesh are tottering at the moment. This time it is Towhid Hridoy, who looks to whip one away but ends up getting an inside edge that crashes onto the stumps. They are in big trouble now.
And Bangladesh are 70 for the loss of four wickets at the half-way mark, still needing 152 for victory. It is slowly getting out of hand for the visitors. Can they pull off a miracle with Mahmuddullah, Mehidy and Jaker Ali yet to come? Funny game, but India have it under control at the moment.
India in complete control of the game. Bangladesh have lost six wickets with the required run-rate moving up towards 17. It should be a matter of time, delaying the inevitable. The visitors just have not showed up again with the bat. India inching closer to a 2-0 lead and a series win.
Bangladesh are almost in the go-for-everything-zone and these are clear signs of it. The target looks almost out of reach with 120 needed in just 30 balls. However, Mahmudullah, who has announced he will retire from T20Is after this series is still out there in the middle.
A great day becomes even better for Nitish Kumar. After a sensational 74 from just 34 balls, he now has a wicket to his name. The youngster can do no wrong tonight. India are now just two wickets away from taking the series. It has been a superb all-round performance to say the least.
And that's the game for India. It is 2-0, and the series is in the bag. Suryakumar Yadav must be a happy man. A complete team performance that saw the middle-order come good after the first three wickets fell in quick succession. It was always going to be a tough task once they crossed the 200-mark. A 86-run defeat for Bangladesh in Delhi.
"I think we made the same mistakes (like the first game), not a good thing as a team. We need to improve. I think it was a good decision (to bowl). They batted well after the first 6-7 overs, we didn't execute our plans after that. Need to take responsibilities as batsmen, we got to believe in ourselves. The way our bowlers bowled, they were impressive, but we couldn't take wickets in the middle overs like I said."
"I wanted that situation, wanted my batters (5,6,7) in that situation. Happy for both (Rinku and Nitish) of them. They batted exactly the way I wanted. You got to go out there and express. Just the jersey changes, rest remaining remains the same. I wanted to see what different bowlers can do in different situations. Can they give me the difficult overs. Sometimes Hardik won't bowl, sometimes Washington Sunday won't bowl. I wanted to see what the other guys had in store, really happy with it. It was his (Nitish) day, I thought let him enjoy and make it large."
"Feels great to represent India, feel so proud about this moment. Grateful for everything. I should give credit to captain and coach. They gave me the licence to play fearless cricket. I took my time initially, but after that no-ball everything went in my favour. It feels great to play for the Indian team. I want to continue in this same way. Want to keep repeat such good performances."
Thank you so much for joining us. We will see you soon, and until next time, goodbye and take care.
