Kavya Maran Puts Behind Tears To Cheer Up SRH Dressing Room After Final Loss To KKR: Watch

Kavya Maran who was seen shedding tears after Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 final, put behind her disappointment and went into the dressing room of her team to cheer up the Pat Cummins-led side. (As it Happened | Cricket News)

The video of Maran entering the SRH dressing room and praising her team's performance in the tournament was uploaded by the social media handles of the Hyderabad-based franchise.

"You all have made us so proud. I had to come here and tell you that. I mean you have redefined the way we play T20 cricket and everyone is talking about us," Maran said in her address to the team.

SRH scored three 265+ totals in the tournament and now have the record of top two IPL totals of all time. They were heavily praised by former cricketers and experts for their batting style.

"The off-day had to happen today, but a really great job, all of you with the bat and ball. Thank you so much," Kavya said.

SRH went down against KKR in one of the most one-sided IPL finals in the history of the tournament losing the match by 8 wickets and with more than nine overs remaining.

She also praised her team for their remarkable turnaround from last year when they finished at the bottom of the table.

"And I think even though we finished last place last year, I think all the fans came out in huge numbers because of the potential you guys had. Everyone's talking about us and even though KKR won, I am sure everyone's still going to be talking about the style of cricket we have played. Thank you guys, take care and don't look like this. We played the final, it wasn't just any other game. I mean all the other teams have been watching us tonight. Thank you guys, I will see you soon," Kavya added.
