Pakistan spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali suppressed England’s aggression on an engineered slow and dry wicket as the visitors stumbled to 110-5 in the third and final test on Thursday. Off-spinner Khan took 3-55 and left-arm spinner Ali grabbed 2-53 bowled unchanged in the first session to trouble the batters on a variable bouncy wicket which was dried with the help of industrials-sized fans and outdoor heaters to counter England’s ‘Bazball’ aggressive batting.
Earlier, Stokes had won the toss and elected to bat but Pakistan didn’t hesitate to deploy spinners from both ends for the first time in a home test match as both slow bowlers shared 30 overs in the session between them.
