Sri Lanka A registered their first win of the ongoing ACC Men's T20 Emerging Asia Cup 2024 by defeating Hong Kong in match 5 by 42 runs in Al Amerat on Sunday. They batted first and set a 179-run target and in response, Hong Kong could only make 136/7 in 20 overs. Sri Lanka A lost their first match against Afghanistan A. Hong Kong also lost their first match against Bangladesh A.
Hong Kong need 82 runs in the last 30 balls left in the match and Babar Hayat is playing with Yasim Murtaza. Sri Lanka A need to defend the target to win the match. They have Ehsan Malinga and Nipun Ransika's two overs each left.
