A crucial half-century partnership between captain Rovman Powell (37 from 27) and Gudkesh Motie (32 from 15) helped West Indies get to a decent total. Eventually, West Indies managed 162/8. Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga both picked two wickets each for Sri Lanka.
Chasing 163, Sri Lanka raced to 67 in the powerplay. Patthum Nissanka (39 from 22) gave Sri Lanka a flying start. His opening partner Kusal Mendis (68 from 50) then combined with Kusal Perera (55 from 36) to guide Sri Lanka to a 9-wicket win and that too with 12 balls in hand. Sri Lanka thus won the series 2-1.
