The first ball is scheduled to be bowled at 7:30pm IST, with the toss slated for 7pm. The good news is that there is little to no chance of rain in Hyderabad for today's match. With a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees, expect sweltering conditions with players needing frequent hydration to avoid cramps.

CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad has won the toss and elected to bowl first against SRH. Ishan Kishan says he would have batted first anyway, and adds that Dilshan Madushanka comes in place of Harsh Dubey, to give his side "more swinging options".

The fearsome opening pair of Travis Head and Abhishek walks out to the middle for SRH, and CSK go with the off-spin of Matthew Short against them, first up. It's a tidy over too, with just four runs off it. But Abhishek welcomes Mukesh Choudhary from the other end with a lofted cover-driven six!

It's a trademark powerplay blaze from Abhishek, who goes berserk amid conditions as batting-friendly as they get. He smashes four sixes and five fours en route a 15-ball fifty, and bring out the 'L' celebration. Mukesh Choudhary then gets rid of Travis Head and SRH skipper Ishan Kishan off successive balls to bring the manic powerplay to an eventful end!

Out! What a review for CSK as the dangerous Abhishek Sharma heads back to the dug out after slamming 59 off just 22 deliveries. At first, the umpire didn't gave it out but a faint edge was identified in the review which resulted in the back of the southpaw SRH opener. HYD lose their 3rd wicket and it'll be interesting to see, what will be their approach now.

Jamie Overton continues his fine form with the ball and picks up his second wicket of the game in the form of Aniket Verma, who departs cheaply after scoring just 2 runs. It was hard length delivery cramping Aniket for room and the batter tries to pull it and ends up giving a simple catch to the mid-wicket fielder.

Heinrich Klaasen is batting on 42 off 28 balls and is all set to go big tonight. However, he has already clinched the Orange Cap and has become the leading run-scorer in IPL 2026. He is followed by Gill 251; Kohli 247; Patidar 230; Kishan 213.

Anshul Kamboj castles Heinrich Klaasen for 59 as Hyderabad lose their 6th wicket. Kamboj kept bowled a wide yorker and Klaasen dragged the bowl onto his stumps. Liam Livingstone comes in as an Impact player to provide late impetus to SRH's innings.

Liam Livingstone hits the last ball of the innings straight into the hands of the deep mid-wicket fielder as SRH finish the innings at 194 in 20 overs. Anshul Kamboj takes 2 wickets in the last over and with it tops the charts of the leading wicket-takers in IPL 2026.

Praful Hinge, after a fairytale debut to his IPL career in SRH's last match, goes for a six and two fours in the Super Kings' first over. Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad get the chase underway with panache, but Nitish Kumar Reddy arrives at the scene to dislodge Samson straight away in the second over. Impact Player Ayush Mhatre is next to the crease for the visitors.

The young Ayush Mhatre has walked in with deleterious purpose, smashing an unbeaten 30 off 12 balls already. He is making sure that Samson's early dismissal does not hamper CSK's powerplay gains. Gaikwad, at the other end, is at 14 not out off 9.

Eshan Malinga gets Ruturaj Gaikwad off a sharp bouncer and CSK lose back-to-back wickets, making the match interesting. First Ayush Mhatre falls to a blinder by Klaasen followed by Gaikwad's wicket.

Sarfaraz Khan and Matthew Short have forged a 38-run stand for the 4th wicket. Both the batters have stabilized CSK's innings while maintaining a brisk run rate even after some quick wickets. Hyderabad need to get quick wickets before it gets too late for them.

Out! Sarfaraz Khan plays a lofted sweep shot that goes straight into the hands of the deep wicket fielder and he departs after scoring 25 runs of 19 balls. Dewald Brevis joins Short in the middle.

CSK lost Brevis cheaply that marked the incoming off Shivam Dubey, who has been quite good form in the recent past. CSK would want him to pull of the chase from here with Matthew Short as they need 60 off 36 balls.

Eshan Malinga gets his third wickets of the match as he traps Mathew Short in the deep mid-wicket boundary by bowling full into his pads. CSK lose their 6th wicket and the chase is getting tricky as they still need 46 runs off 24 balls.

What a great over for SRH in the context of the game. Sakib Hussain gives just 6 runs from the over and gets the valued wicket of Shivam Dube, who is the designated finisher of the team. CSK now need 40 runs off just 18 balls with 3 wickets in hand.

That's another spirited performance by SRH, where they were successfully able to defend a total with their bowling. Both Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain against impressed with their bowling, while Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen shone with the bat.
