The eternal favourites Brazil started their FIFA World Cup campaign in style with a comprehensive win over Serbia. The Selecao started strong but couldn’t penetrate enough to score a goal in the first half. As expected, they had better chances, but Serbians held the fort well. Barcelona forward Raphinha had the best first half chance and would’ve expected more from himself. In the second half, Brazil stomped their authority on the game with Richarlison scored the first goal. Neymar evaded several Serbian bodies and passed the ball to Vinicius Junior whose shot was parried away but the ball fell to Richarlison who did not miss from close range. In the 73rd minute, Richarlison scored one of the most pleasing goals to the eye showcasing brilliant control and deft touch and scoring through an acrobatic cycle kick. It is most definitely one of the contenders for the goal of the tournament. Serbians failed to test the Brazilian backline or give them much trouble throughout the game.
