Good evening and welcome to the live coverage of the Hyderabad FC vs Mohun Bagan Indian Super League 2024-25 match
So, the seventh matchday of the Indian Super League begins in the Diwali week and teams would hope they would get their share of bonuses. Hyderabad FC are up against Mohun Bagan tonight and both of them would love to celebrate their Diwali with a victory in this game.
Hyderabad FC come into the match on the back of their first win of the season as they defeated Mohammedan SC 4-0 in their last match. It was their first win of the season after a loss and three draws.
Mohun Bagan too enter the contest on the back of two confidence boosting victories. They won against Mohammedan SC and East Bengal to earn two Kolkata derby wins.

Hyderabad FC: 2
Draw: 5
Mohun Bagan Super Giant midfielder Lalengmawia Ralte has been critical in helping his team break opposition’s offences this term. He has won 18 tackles in ISL 2024-25, the most by any player, recovering possession at the centre of the park and leading the charge ahead with his widespread passing range and vision for making goal-scoring contributions.
Hyderabad FC defender Alex Saji has been of great help in ensuring that the team keeps things tidy at the back. He has made 87 clearances in 2024 in the ISL, which is the joint-most with Muhammed Rafi. Saji’s 5.4 clearances per match this season have been exemplary, ensuring that his defensive line keeps the adversaries at bay during important junctures of the game.
Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s Manvir Singh encounters a unique dilemma in this game. His four goals against Hyderabad FC is his highest-such tally against any opponent in the ISL. At the same time, he has not found the back of the net in his last seven games against them.
The national anthem is over and we are about to begin. Hyderabad FC are in yellow while Mohun Bagan in their away colours of white. The Mariners will right to left while the hosts will move the other way to score.
1' Here comes the opening whistle and Hyderabad earn a goal kick in the very first minute and at the stroke of the first minute we have Hyderabad trying to take a shot but it is just a goal kick for Mohun Bagan. Interesting beginning.
6' Both teams a little wasteful so far in the first six minutes. Both Mohun Bagan and Hyderabad FC have entered the opposition's final third but a serious attack is yet to be made by any of the two sides so far.
15' We have a quiet start tonight at the Gachibowli Stadium. Mohun Bagan are yet to take a shot while Hyderabad FC too have taken only two shots both of them totally non threatening. Mohun Bagan keeping the ball for longer but the scoresheet has not been disturbed yet.
20' Shot towards the near post from Manvir Singh on the right flank but he smashes his right footer on the side of the net. Another shot in the game where the goalkeeper had nothing to worry.
29' Yellow card for Subhasish Bose. That could have been an opportunity for Hyderabad FC but Bose makes a wild tackle on the right side just wide of the box. Hyderabad get a free kick but it is just a goal kick for Mohun Bagan. It was a good shot from Cy Goddard. Left footer, curling into the goal. But the ball does not do enough to sneak into the goal post and goes over it.
35' A good save from Vishal Kaith to deny Hyderabad FC. Ramhlunchhunga made a superb run into the box and the cuts in but he got too close to Kaith and Kaith manages a hand on Ramhlunchhunga's pass to clear the ball. The danger is not yet averted as the ball finds its way to Muhammed Rafi who takes a long range shot but it goes over the bar.
37' Mohun Bagan Score!!!
Spectacular through ball from Anirudh Thapa from his own half and it finds Manvir Singh who is sprinting towards the Hyderabad FC goal. With defenders away, Manvir has to beat the goalkeeper and he does that with a beautiful dummy shot and then takes the real shot to provide the finish. Mohun Bagan have opened their account after a lot of hard work.
45' The first goal seems to have given the Mariners the wings they needed. Consistent pressure now on L Jongte's goalpost. Greg Stewart takes a shot which is blocked and then some good marking also means the header from Tom Aldred is not strong enough. But anyways, Hyderabad FC have been put under pressure now.
45+2' Two minutes of extra time added before the half-time is called. Andrei Alba of Hyderabad FC has been given yellow card just before the half-time. A late chance for Mohun Bagan's Ashish Rai but goes in vain and we have the whistle.
46' We are into the second half now. Hyderabad FC come out all guns blazing with two shots early into the second half. Abdul Rabeeh and Andrei Alba take long range shots within minutes of each other but the former's is blocked while the latter's hit just flies over the goalpost.
55' Goal For Mohun Bagan!!!
Another set piece goal for Mohun Bagan and they have doubled their lead. A free kick is taken by Greg Stewart from the right wing. Stewart gives a beautiful ball towards the far end where Subhasish Bose takes a few steps towards the goal unmarked and heads the ball into the goalpost. Mohun Bagan are now two up in the game. Hyderabad need to turn things around if they are to make a comeback in this match.
57' A strong reply from Hyderabad FC. Allan Paulista enters the box with some beautiful touches to move pas the Mariner's defenders. Paulista takes a ground shot shot from around the center of the box towards but misses towards the right side.
66' Abdul Rabeeh tries to find the first one of the night for Hyderabad FC but his left footed shot from outside the box is high and wide and misses the goal post to the left.
80' The match enters the final 10 minutes now and Hyderabad FC's hopes might be getting over. They have tried a few shots from outside the box and this time it is Devendra Murgaokar who fires a right-footer from long range. And yet again it is off target as the ball flies over the goalpost.
90' Six minutes added to the regulation time. Mohun Bagan would be disappointed that they have not been able to triple their lead despite plenty of chances in the second half. Hyderabad are having a tough game but their defence has managed to do well to not concede a lot of goals despite consistent pressure.
Mohun Bagan beat Hyderabad FC!
Mohun Bagan will jump to the second spot in the ISL table with this win and Hyderabad will continue to bide their team as the third team from bottom. It becomes the third consecutive win for Mohun Bagan and in all three wins they have scored more than one goal and not conceded any.
A good game for Mohun Bagan. Their defence stood intact for large parts of match and Hyderabad were forced to go long range quite a few times. The attack of Mariners was also tested by the hosts but Mohun Bagan found ways to score twice. Manvir Singh scored the first goal in 37th minute and then Subhashish Bose doubled the lead in the 55th minute. After that, Mohun Bagan did threaten to score the third goal quite a few times but they never did. Ultimately it went in the favour of the Mariners 2-0.
Mohun Bagan are now at the second spot with the win tonight being their fourth of the season. Bengaluru FC are the leaders. Hyderabad FC meanwhile have been handed their fourth loss and continue to be at the third spot from bottom of the table.
We will now bid you good bye. Do come back tomorrow for another ISL game. Thank you! Good Night!
