Both the teams are entering today's game on the back of defeats in their previous match. Jamshedpur FC lost a challenging away to NorthEast United FC 5-0 and Chennaiyin FC went down 3-2 to Punjab FC in New Delhi.

The Men of Steel are fourth in the table with four wins and two losses while the Marina Machans are eighth with a couple of wins and the same number of draws and losses.

A win today will take Jamshedpur to the second spot just a point behind leaders Bengaluru FC. A victory for Chennaiyin will take them up to sixth spot.

6' First goal for Chennaiyin FC!!!

This is unbelievable. Pratik Chaudhari, the Jamshdepur FC centrback, has just smashed the ball into his own goal. What a big mistake! Their coach Khalid Jamil is absolutely livid. Players from both sides can not belive what just happened. A cross into the centre of the six-yard box and Pratik, who perhaps was trying to clear the ball with a powerful touch, has pushed the ball into the net with the goalkeeper having no chance. Chennaiyin take the lead.

13' Another Chennaiyin attack in the making but Jamshedpur manage the clearance. The visitors are doing well in Jamshedpur to put the hosts under pressure but so far, except that one own goal, Jamshdedpur have done well with their challenges.

16' Brilliant teamwork on display and Wilmar Jordan had a chance here if he had connected his header well but two Jamshdepur defenders were up to him in the six-yard box and Jordan can not get his header right.

20' Bikash Yumnam misses a massive chance. He is in the centre of the box and Wilmar Jordan's header falls right at foot but he fails to make contact on the first attempt. The second one is also a false shot and he makes contact on the third one but the ball rolls past the far post and Chennaiyin miss chance to double the lead. Should have been a goal but is not.

21' Second goal for Chennaiyin FC!!!

Irfan Yadwad strikes and what a beautiful run from him. He finds the ball in his own half and goes off on the left flank like a bullet. Keeps going and cuts in towards the centre of the pitch and takes his shot from outside the box and finds the net on the far post, thanks to deflection. Proper pace on display from Irfan. Chennaiyin are 2-0 up now.

24' Third goal for Chennaiyin FC!!!

Its raining goals for Chennaiyin tonight. Third goal and it is not even 25 minutes on the clock. Khalid Jamil can not believe it on the sidelines. His defence is in disarray. Irfan Yadwad comes up with the assist and Connor Shields fires the goal. Irfan gets the ball on the left just outside the box and this time he knows Shields is in the centre and he passes it to him and Shields fires it into the bottom right corner.

25' That could have been a goal for Jamshedpur. Javi Siverio gets a cross in the six-yard box in front of the goal mouth but his header is just inches above the goal post.

35' Some brilliant end-to-end action. Jamshedpur get a chance but are denied first by Chennaiyin goalkeeper Nawaz and then by the defender on the rebound. The clearance goes to Wilmar Jordan in the other half and he has to contend with three defenders. He waits a little and then goes for a shot but a brilliant diving save from Jamshedpur goalkeeper Gomes keeps Jordan at bay.

40' Yellow card for Jamshedpur's Mobashir for a bad foul on Irfan Yadwad. A heavy tackle just outside his own box by Mobashir and Irfan is down.

Irfan is now up and ready to go.

Half-time whistle! Four minutes of added time done and players now head for a break. Chennaiyin go into the break with a comfortable lead. An own goal and a goal each from Irfan Yadwad and Connor Shields. Chenniayin have been dominant so far and the hosts would want to stage a comeback.

Yet again a basic mistake from Jamshedpur defence and they have to pay for it. Fans can not understand what is happening. The stadium has fallen silent.

Pratik loses the ball to Wilmar Jordan Gil right outside the box. Jordan Gil just takes the ball into the box and has just the goalkeeper to beat. A little shimmy from Jordan to put the goalkeeper in confusion and he puts the ball in net. Easy for Jordan and absolutely dreadfully poor from Jamshedpur. Pratik the guilty man yet again.

61' A miss by a whisker for Jamshedpur FC. This is the closest they have come to scoring. Nikhil Bala's perfect left-footer from the left side of the box towards the near post just goes above the goalpost by an inch. Good shot from Bala but Jamshedpur continue to search for the first goal.

66' Three substitution for Chennaiyin. Gurkirat Singh replaces Wilmar Jordán. Lukas Brambilla replaces Connor Shields. Daniel Chima replaces Kiyan Nassiri.

71' Fifth goal for Chennaiyin FC!!!

Beautiful away-curling shot from Lukas Brambilla to get the fifth goal for Chennaiyin. Exceptional finish from Brambilla from outside the box to the bottom left corner and Gomes the goalkeeper just watches it go past him. Goals raining for Chennaiyin.

74' Jamshedpur FC manager Khalid Jamil has been sent off! He keeps arguing with the referee as he is escorted away from the sidelines by his staff members. Before going he has changed the goakpeeper of his side. Amrit Gope replaces Albino Gomes in the Jamshedpur goal.

80' First goal for Jamshedpur FC!!!

A handball from Irfan Yadwad inside the box off a free kick from Jamshedpur and a penalty given. Chennaiyin players argue that the off-side was raised already but the referee awards the penalty anyway. Javi Hernández then converts the spot kick into Jamshedpur's first goal of the night.

90+1' Six minutes of added time and Jamshedpur FC have earned a corner early on in the added time but they can not do much.

Chennaiyin FC beat Jamshedpur FC 5-1!!!

A proper performance put on by the Marina Machans and Jamshedpur have been thoroughly defeated for the second game in a row. Chennaiyin were on point throughout the game while Jamshedpur were in total disarray. A fantastic performance from Chennaiyin and really really awful show from the hosts.

Terrible night for Jamshedpur. They have now lost back to back games and concede five in both. An own goal from Pratik in the sixth minute helped Chennaiyin take the lead. Irfan Yadwas then doubled Chennaiyin's lead in the 22nd minute and two minutes later Connor Shields netted the third one. William Jordan and his subtitute Lukas Brambilla took Chennaiyin's lead to 5-0 in the second half before Javi Hernandez gave Jamehsdpur a consolation goal via penalty.

Jamshedpur are at fourth while Chennaiyin rise up to the sixth spot in the ISL table. Chennaiyin play one more match before international break. Jamshedpur will now have the time to think what went wrong as they play after the international break.
