This is the second straight match where the Red Miners have conceded five goals after they were defeated 5-0 by NorthEast United in their last game.

Jamshedpur's defence was breached for the first time in the evening in just the sixth minute when their own defender Pratik Chaudhari netted an own goal. Irfan Yadwad then made a stunning run and then shot a fantastic goal from outside the box in the 22nd minute to double Chennaiyin's lead.

Two minutes later, Connor Shields fired the third goal, again from the edge of the box finding gap in a Jamshedpur FC defence totally in disarray.

Pratik Chaudhari made another mistake after the break and the hosts had to pay for that with the fourth goal of the evening. Chaudhari lost the ball just outside the box and Yadwad's touch went straight to Wilmar Jordan Gill who easily beat the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation.

Lukas Brambilla came off the bench to score in the 71st minute through a beautiful away curler to beat Jamshedpur goalkeeper Albino Gomes for the fifth time in the game. Gomes was soon substituted and Jamshedpur FC manager Khalid Jamil was sent off after arguing with referee.

Javi Hernandez then converted a penalty in the 81st minute to help the hosts get a consolation goal.

Chennaiyin jumped to the sixth spot and now have three wins in seven matches. Jamshedpur FC have now a lot to think, having conceded 10 goals in their last two matches. They will also get a lot of time to think as the team will now play after the international break.

Up next, Chennaiyin FC will welcome Mumbai City FC at home on November 9 for an early kickoff. Jamshedpur FC will again be in action on November 23 when they will travel to Kolkata to face Mohun Bagan.
