ONE Friday Fights 37 is bringing another blistering martial arts lineup to Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Asia primetime this Friday, October 20.
With three MMA contests opening the show followed by nine exciting Muay Thai battles, there will be no shortage of action once the first bell rings in Bangkok, Thailand.
At the top of the bill, eight-time Muay Thai World Champion Rafi Bohic faces rising star Antar Kacem in an intriguing bantamweight Muay Thai tilt.
Bohic arrived in ONE earlier this year with a legendary resume. He then beat Tapaokaew Singha Mawynn in his promotional debut before his high-stakes matchup with Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai ended in a no contest due to an accidental eye poke.
The 32-year-old Frenchman will now look to resume his charge toward the top, but Kacem presents him with a very difficult test.
The man from Belarus has competed twice in ONE Friday Fights so far, splitting a pair of explosive showdowns with Thai phenom Yodphupa Wimanair. After an epic comeback win in the rematch, Kacem hopes to score his second straight victory against one of the most decorated foreigners in the history of Muay Thai.
In the penultimate bout, ONE Friday Fights veterans Theptaksin Sor Sornsing and Rittidet Sor Sommai will meet in a 132-pound catchweight Muay Thai matchup.
Theptaksin snapped his two-fight winning streak in an epic battle with Pompet PK Saenchai last time out, and he’ll be eager to restart his ascent with victory.
On the other side, Rittidet earned his first ONE win at ONE Friday Fights 19 in June when his left hook sent Jalill Barnes down and out, improving his promotional record to 1-1.
Elsewhere on the card, Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongthoranee Sor Sommai will take on #4-ranked contender Taiki Naito in a flyweight Muay Thai tussle.
Kongthoranee has amassed a 4-1 slate in ONE Friday Fights, including a pair of knockout wins, and he has looked impressive in every outing.
Naito has built a 6-3 record in the organization while taking on the world’s best, including reigning ONE World Champions Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek Kiatmoo9. He’ll now look to protect his ranking, while Kongthoranee will aim to crack the top five.
Kicking off the card, the MMA battles include unbeaten submission specialist Moris Boleyan of Armenia, who is squaring off against Mongolia’s Gantogtokh Baatarchuluun in a flyweight clash.
