Pakistan are not starting with their top scorer Ahmad Nadeem. But, Shahid Hannan, who scored twice when these sides faced in the league stage, starts in the forward line. That's different but let's see if it works in favour of PAK.
What a sight, PAK make early circle entry and strike one for the net but Korea's Kim Jae Han made a good save.
Korea are countering Pakistan's early momentum with some strong play. Despite a few minutes of Korean dominance, Pakistan's defense remains steadfast, proving as impenetrable as a wall. Both the teams are fighting hard for a PC.
Goaaaaaal, And Korea did the unthinkable, Kim Jung-Hoo scored the first goal of the match for Korea, putting Pakistan on high alert as the second quarter began.
Muhammad Hamaddudin advanced with the ball from defense, but Korea managed to intercept his pass. Pakistan had another chance within the circle, but Korea's defense held strong in tight spaces. Despite multiple attempts to penetrate the circle, Korea are not letting Pakistan gain any sustained advantage.
The game is getting aggressive, Pakistan keep pressing hard on offense but just can’t crack the Korean defense. Korea’s backline holding firm, with plenty of scrambles and near-misses, but Pakistan still can’t score. KOREA IN FULL CONTROL.
Interestingly, Korea are playing such a sneaky game, whenever PAK think that they have the circle entry KOR players strike it right out and goes zero for the Pakistani side. They are not letting PAK go near the circle with the ball.
What a first half. Pakistan are struggling to break through the solid Korean defense. As the game heads into the second half, the big question is whether Pakistan can find a way to score and turn the game around, or if Korea will hold on to their 1-0 lead.
Pakistan finally secures a Penalty Corner, now we have to see if they can capitalize on it. And once again the execution falls short. Korea easily defend the attempt.
Pakistan not only levels the score with Korea but takes the lead. After missing their last penalty corner, they make the most of the next one and quickly add another goal. Two rapid-fire goals, what a turnaround. SHAHID Hannan And KHAN Sufyan remember these names.
Wow, Korea didn’t waste any time! Yang Jihun quickly levels the scores for Korea with a beautiful drag flick.
Rooman, what an alert athlete you are. Pakistan didn't rest after their two goals, they scored again in the dying seconds of the quarter. They've done it. At the end of this quarter, AND YES NOW PAKISTAN ARE LEADING.
PAKISTAN are on fire. They’re now two goals ahead and dominating in every way. Korea, on the other hand, are trying to stop Pakistan, but it’s not working. Korea seems a little lost and confused about what happened to Pakistan suddenly. This goal was scored by Sufyan Khan, his second of the game.
Shahid Hannan just fired in another goal for Pakistan, his second of the game. What a shot -- The Pakistani side is relentless, not giving Korea a moment to breathe. Needless to say, hockey runs in his blood.
Pakistan are everywhere, and Korea are nowhere even near to score a goal. That's the class of Pakistan's game at the moment. Just one minute is left. Can Korea make a comeback?
The final whistle blows, and Pakistan secures a podium finish at the Hockey ACT 2024. With a 5-2 victory over Korea, they claim the 3rd spot in the tournament. A brilliant second-half display from Tahir Zaman's boys proved too much for the Koreans to handle.
Sufyan Khan from Pakistan emerged as the hero of the match, netting two crucial goals.
