The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently revealed the fixtures for the highly anticipated ICC Men's T20 World Cup scheduled in June this year. A total of 20 teams will participate in the tournament. After reaching the final of the T20 World Cup Asian Qualifiers, Nepal and Oman will also take part in the carnival of the shortest form of international cricket. (More Cricket News)
The 20 teams have been divided into four groups consisting of five teams each. Each team will play four group-stage matches with the other teams in their group. Nepal have been added to Group D with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa and the Netherlands. The West Indies and the United States Of America will co-host the T20 World Cup starting from June 2.
Nepal will clash with the Netherlands in their first group-stage fixture on June 5 in Dallas, USA. In the next match, they will clash with Sri Lanka in Florida on June 11. The next two matches are in Kingstown against South Africa and Bangladesh on the 14th and 16th of June respectively.
The top two teams from each group will proceed to the Super Eight round where two groups of four teams each will be formed and the top two of them will play in the semi-finals and then the final eventually. The final is scheduled for June 29th in Barbados.

Nepal cricket have shown positive growth in recent years and their performance in the Asian Games 2023, Asia Cup 2023 and Asian Qualifiers were commendable. Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Aasif Sheikh, Rohit Paudel, and Karan KC are some important players who have shown consistency in their performances.
