It was Virat Kohli's 100th Test match. It was Rohit Sharma's maiden Test as India captain. But one Ravindra Jadeja decided to make it the most memorable Test in his career. After his majestic 175 not out on Day 2, Jadeja took nine wickets on Sunday to steer India to an innings and 222 runs victory in the first Test of the two-match series. He finished with 5/41 in the first innings as Sri Lanka were bundled out for 174. Followed on, the scenario didn't change either as kept on taking wickets at regular intervals with Jadeja once again among the wickets with figures of 4/46. Sri Lanka could manage just four runs more than their first innings total. For Sri Lanka, their only positives from the game were Pathum Nissanka's 61 in the first innings and Niroshan Dickwella's fighting 51 not out. Also in the process, Ravichandran Ashwin overtook Kapil Dev's 434 wickets to become India's second-highest wicket-taker in Tests. Get highlights of IND vs SL.
