India A and England Lions will play the third unofficial Test match in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium starting on February 1. Abhimanyu Easwaran-led India A took an unassailable 1-0 lead in the bilateral series after winning the second Test by an innings and 16 runs on Saturday. (More Cricket News)
The first test match ended in a draw in which Rajat Patidar scored a brilliant century (151 off 158 balls) including 19 fours and five sixes. Srikar Bharat also hit a ton in the second innings that helped in the draw. Both batters are now part of the senior Test team which is hosting England for a five-game Test series.
Keaton Jennings and captain Josh Bohannon were the centurions from the England Lions in the first innings which helped the visitors to declare their innings on 553/8. Rajasthan's left-arm orthodox Manav Suthar claimed five wickets in the first Test match.
Sarfaraz Khan was awarded the player of the match in the second Test for his 161-run knock which secured India's innings and 16-run victory over the visitors. Left-handed stylish batter Devdutt Padikkal also scored a classy ton in the match. Saurabh Kumar took a fifer in the second innings. He also played a 77-run knock in the first innings.
