After Virat Kohli bossed the Indian batting with his maiden T20I ton, Bhuvneshwar Kumar hogged the limelight with his 5/4 as India defeatefd Afghanistan by huge 101 runs in the penultimate Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai on Thursday. Sent into bat first, KL Rahul (62) and Virat Kohli put together the first century opening stand of the tournament. However, Fareed Ahmed brought Afghanistan back into the game dismissing Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav in the same over. But that didn't deter the Indians, as Kohli was at his usual best bringing up his 71st international century and first since November 2019. Kohli finished at 122 not out from 61 balls with India posting 212/2. In reply, Afghanistan were tottering at 21/6 in the seventh over with Bhuvneshwar Kumar getting five of them.
