So far, so good for Indian Premier League (IPL) newbies Gujarat Titans. After beating Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL bow, the Titans produced an all-round performance to beat one of the title contenders, Delhi Capitals by 14 runs at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on Saturday. Delhi captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first. Shubman Gill hit 84 off 46 balls in a knock that featured only six dot balls. Skipper Hardik Pandya scored 31 off 27 as the Titans scored 171/6. Then, pacers Lockie Ferguson (4/28) and Mohammed Shami (2/30) did the job with some incisive bowling. Delhi could manage only 157/9. The 14-run win means the Titans are third in the IPL points table, behind Rajasthan Royals, who earlier in the day defeated Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders.
