Punjab Kings defeated Chennai Super Kings by 11 runs at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on Monday. The game started with CSK skipper Ravindra Jadeja winning the toss and opting to bowl first. The surface was slow in the first innings but Shikhar Dhawan (88 not out off 59) helped by Bhanuka Rajapaksa (42 off 32) and Liam Livingstone (19 off 7) took Punjab Kings to 187/4. CSK were struggling in the chase until Ambati Rayudu took command and scored a superb 78 off 39. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja failed to find rhythm during his small knock (21 not out off 16) and MS Dhoni's 12 off 8 towards the end of the innings too proved to be insufficient for CSK.
