Lucknow Super Giants defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 12 runs on Monday night to register their second win of IPL 2022. Meanwhile, SRH suffered their second straight loss of the season. LSG were 27/3 at one stage after being invited to bat first but KL Rahul (68) and Deepak Hooda (51) stitched 87-run partnership for the fourth wicket to help the side stay alive in the game. LSG eventually posted 169/7. SRH couldn't start their chase well as Avesh Khan removed both the openers - Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma - cheaply before they could trouble LSG. The match was a bit inclined towards SRH until Avesh came back again in the 18th over and dismissed a set batter Nicholas Pooran (34 off 24) and newcomer Abdul Samad (0) to turn the game on its head. LSG eventually won the match by 12 runs as Jason Holder gave away just three runs in the final over and claimed three wickets. (Highlights of SRH vs LSG. (SCORECARD | IPL POINTS TABLE | IPL SCHEDULE)
