Punjab Kings outplayed Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets in the last league match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Sunday to end their campaign on a happy note. It was a fight of prestige between the two sides, who were already out of the playoff race, and PBKS came out on top on the match day. First, Harpreet Brar's 3/26 helped them restrict SRH at 157/8 before Liam Livingstone's 49 not out off 22 made mockery of the total at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Stand-in SRH skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and opted to bat first. The side kept losing wickets at regular intervals but a 58-run partnership off 29 balls between Washington Sundar and Romario Shepherd for the sixth wicket eventually propelled it to a good total. In return, Jonny Bairstow's 23 off 15 gave PBKS a flying start before Livingstone could completely close the doors on SRH. Get SRH vs PBKS highlights here.
