IPL 2023 Final: Here's A Take On Which Indian Cricketer Could Voice A Marvel Character

GT star Shubman Gill will be voicing Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse's, Pavitr Prabhakar.

Indian cricket's new poster boy Shubman Gill is creating feats on the field and off it as well! The Gujarat Titans opener will be lending his voice for the Hindi and Punjabi versions of the Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse's, Pavitr Prabhakar. The Hindi and Punjabi versions of the film will feature Gill's voice. He has become the first sports personality to lend his voice to any film.

Speaking about lending his voice to the 'Indian Spider-Man', Pavitr Prabhakar, Shubman said: "I have grown up watching Spider-Man, and he is one of the most relatable superheroes. Since the movie will be debuting the Indian Spider-Man for the first time on screen, getting to be the voice of our Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, in Hindi and Punjabi languages was such a remarkable experience for me. Already, I feel superhuman. I am eagerly anticipating the release of this movie."

With Gill lending his voice to a Marvel character, here's what we thought of other Indian cricketers too and who's voice will it fit:

Virat Kohli And Captain America:
The leader and the carrying the fight right till the end. Captain America aka Steve Rogers might not be the 'real captain' of the Marvel-verse but he truly signifies leadership and courage. That's more or like similar to Virat Kohli, who signifies fighting spirit and determination. Captain America's line of “I Can Do This All Day” is a portrayal of the character and in real life, Virat Kohli too shows similar personality when on the cricket field.

Hardik Pandya and Iron Man:
Iron Man aka Tony Stark always prouds himself with the famous line, "Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist." Well, Hardik Pandya is no 'Playboy' but the GT skipper surely is a genius on the field. Also, if one has to go by his social media, the all-rounder has an extravagant lifestyle too! Well, if there was a choice to be made for the voice of Iron Man in India, Pandya's personality would really do the trick, wouldn't it Marvel fans?

Hulk and MS Dhoni:
Well, just for the start, this match would really be raising eyebrows! However, if one has studied the duo, you will notice that Hulk's alter ego (Dr Bruce Banner) is a scientist and a calm, composed character. However, when he transforms into the Hulk, he is exactly opposite of the human side. Such in the case of MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings skipper is a calm, composed character even when in tensed moments (just like Banner) but would really be seething in case of a misfield or dropped catch (the Hulk). What you think of this match?

Ravichandran Ashwin and Doctor Strange:
The Sorcerer Supreme as he fondly known, Doctor Strange aka Dr. Stephen Strange is known to weave a magic or leave a spell on his enemies when in fights. Well, on the cricket field too, Ravi Ashwin displays similar traits that leaves the opposition batter thinking as to what 'sorcery' is this?

Rohit Sharma and Thor:
Thor Odinson or the Asgardian God of Thunder, is a Marvel character that is known to wipe out his enemies via his 'hammer'. Thor's strength lies in his physical shape as well as his hammer that wields magic. In real life too, Rohit Sharma's bat is nothing short of wielding magic. The Hitman is known for his six-hitting and powerful batting display at the top of the order that leaves the opposition bowling feeling under the cosh.
