Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 44 runs at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday to register their second win of IPL 2022. The platform was laid by DC openers - David Warner (61 off 45) and Prithvi Shaw (51 off 29) - as the duo stitched 93 runs for the first wicket in 8.4 overs. Later, Rishabh Pant hit 27 off 14 before Shardul Thakur could score 29 not out off 11 to help DC post 215/5 - the highest total by a team in IPL 2022. KKR were never ahead in the chase. Shreyas Iyer's 54 off 33 did give them some hope, but once Kuldeep Yadav (4/35) struck thrice in one over, KKR were completely out of the contest. Khaleel Ahmed too impressed with figures of 3/25.
