Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc delivered a sensational lap on the streets of Sin City to take pole for the Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix 2023. The 26-year-old beat his Ferrari teammate, Carlos Sainz, into second. The Spaniard, however, will start 12 following his 10-place grid penalty. Red Bull's reigning champion Max Verstappen, who was third fastest, will start alongside Leclerc from the front row. Mercedes's George Russell was fourth, ahead of Alpine's Pierre Gasly. Two legends of the sport, Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and endured forgettable outings, and will start 9th and 10th, respectively.
