After rain marred the first day of the ongoing fourth Ashes Test, Usman Khawaja lit the second day at the SCG with his ninth Test hundred. Although there were a couple of rain interruptions in the morning session today, Khawaja ensured the hosts to be on top as they have done in the series so far. After a wicketless opening session, England roared back into the game with three quick wickets. Khawaja, who is playing his first game in the series replacing Travis Head, took his time initially. The left-hander got a reprieve when on 28 and made most use of the opportunity even wickets fell at the other end. His 67-run stand for the eighth wicket with Mitchell Starc was crucial as he went on to notch up his ninth Test hundred. Australia's lower order also chipped helping the hosts past the 400-run mark.
