Gujarat Titans sealed their IPL 2022 playoff berth with 62-run win over Lucknow Super Giants at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on Tuesday. The match started with Hardik Pandya winning the toss and opting to bat first on the sluggish track of MCA Stadium. Gujarat got off to a poor start (24/2 in 4.2 overs) but Shubman Gill held one end tight and carried his bat with an unbeaten 63 off 49. His innings helped GT post a fighting total of 144/4 on the board. Initially, it looked like they were 15-20 runs short but the side produced a remarkable bowling performance and bundled out LSG for 82 runs to seal a big win and thus a playoff berth. Seven LSG batters scored in single digits as Rashid Khan dictated terms in the innings with figures of 4/24. Meanwhile, pacer Yash Dayal (2/24) and debutant spinner R Sai Kishore (2/7) too had good outings besides Mohammed Shami's 1/5. (SCORECARD | IPL POINTS TABLE | FULL SCHEDULE)
