The likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal have been impressive so far with 10 points from a possible 12 - and also a chance to grab a chance to take the top spot especially with Manchester City facing a tough fixture away to West Ham United.
Here are five talking points ahead of the weekend's Premier Leaguea action:
Brighton Could Pile Up More Misery On Manchester United
Defeats at Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have left Erik ten Hag's side six points off the top in the Premier League. Despite their victories over Wolves and Nottingham Forest, Manchester United weren't at their fluent best. Brighton provide a stern test to the Red Devils and know, one slip up could prove fatal. The Seagulls might have sold some key players in the summer but still provide enough threat on the counter. Erik ten Hag will hope his two new signings - Sofyan Amrabat and Rasmus Hojlund could give United a much needed boost.
Chelsea's lack of goal threat
Despite pumping in the cash in the summer transfer window, Chelsea have just one game in Mauricio Pochettino's first four league games in charge. The Blues splashed over one billion in the summer but still find themselves in the bottom half of the table. Their defeat at the hands of Forest showed the Blues' lack of goal threat. Another defeat and Chelsea could find themselves in turmoil yet again.
Newcastle United's slow start
After a bright start last season, the Magpies have suffered three back-to-back losses in the Premier League this season. A return to the Champions League for the first time in 20 years is somewhat great but a dip in their club form could provide a headache for manager Eddie Howe. Consecutive defeats to City, Liverpool and Brighton have not helped things as Brentford provides another stern test this weekend before they jet off to face AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Arsenal to end hoodoo at Everton?
Ever since Mikel Arteta has been at Arsenal, the Spanish coach has not won a fixture away to Goodison. Despite some decent results in the Premier League this season, the Gunners face a tough test to a struggling Everton side who have just one point from first four fixtures.
Liverpool's new midfield could surprise many
The Reds signed Ryan Gravenberch on deadline day from Bayern Munich. Jurgen Klopp's side travel to Wolves, who are struggling with form and also, key departures in the summer. After Mohamed Salah's future was sorted out, Klopp's men would hope this would pave way for them to pose another title challenge to City as the Reds look to grab another win against Gary O'Neill's Wolverhampton.
