The 37th National Games of India will officially commence on October 26th with a grand opening ceremony at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda. Over the five-hour-long programme, 600 artists will dazzle those present inside the arena before making way for the official passing of the torch. Goa will make its debut as the National Games of India host with the 27th edition, with five cities - Mapusa, Margao, Panjim, Ponda and Vasco (and Delhi for the Cycling and Gold events) - splitting host duties. It is expected that over 10,000 Indian athletes will compete across 42 disciplines, making the games the biggest in history.
